Ha ha, your spending all this money on a modified engine and car, etc, and you haven't had one insurance quote yet!

Thats just as crazy as building a trackday mini and keeping it on drums.

Still, I'll be keeping my eye on the for sale forums when you get that 3k premium through!

Some people just don't listen Jammy. A few months driving a standard 998 isnt going to drop your insurance much. And when you put a turbo on it do you really think its not going to go up by much?

i know what it will do the insurance however im not doing the engine till im 18, and im not paying for my insurance anyway my perents are.

thats fairly mild opposed to what my dad was suggesting lol

Even at 18, insurance is a killer!
Best way to do it is, run it std for the first year, then stg1, then more!!

Just read the whole project, very interesting, but I cant believe no one has asked about the parot incident??? what happened there?

I think the other guys have got it right on the insurance though, don't forget weve been there and done it. I'm 21 but only passed my test in january. I drive a standard 998 which is really fun (for now) I'm building a nice little 998 motor on the side for when the insurance allows, but get some experience under your belt, You'd be suprised waht a good standard 998 can do!
