In recent news:

The mini made it to Newquay and back with only one hiccup when it didn't want to start at a service station ;D

Oh, two hiccups... No brakes by the time we got back  Both rear cylinders had decided to wee out all the brake fluid and driving a few hundred miles like that ruined the shoes as well so £130 down the line I now have very good brakes and a working handbrake!

But today on the way to work it broke down  ... Points & condenser worn, is what the RAC man wrote on his sheet :) Apparently he couldn't fix it, on account of the screw also being fubar, so 4 hours later and minus a number plate and plus scratches on the inner wings, it finally gets towed to a garage 3 miles away >:teehee: Which is where it now resides, less than a week after they last fixed it

 How did Minty get to be an it?!!

Pants RAC man if he got beaten by one lil screw, that should be a 10 minute fix with tap 'n a bit bigger screw.

its the screw that holds the points to the advance plate, the whole screw was pretty buggered at the services (where it had a problem before)
mine was a pain in the clubman, i think i took the whole plate out because it was also bent

hope its not going to be too costly lisa :)

£39, not bad I suppose... ;D

They put a big friendly reminder on the invoice that the radiator is leaking though ;D I did know that, and I have a spare, just have to hope someone can help me fix it (because I don't have skills or tools) on Saturday before L2B.

Why does everything go wrong at once?! :-

Suppose that means everything goes right at once too :-

Did the garage say what they did to fix it - to be hoped they haven't left a problem for the next person to touch his points ;D

On a positive note a neighbour just gave me a CD multi changer with rad cassette head unit - yours if you want it.

The points have been replaced that's what the £39 was (6 posts ago!). I do want leccy ignition, but I can't afford to improve anything at the moment. But I have to have it running for L2B so couldn't wait, it literally gave up and wouldn't go anywhere.

Can't really have it weeing all over the road either for L2B so the mission's on to fix it one evening or Saturday morning

Radiator should be replaced tomorrow >_<

Might get some new improved (and badly needed) engine mounts in there while we're at it too

We have audio as well, not sure if I said but it does in fact play music now. Whoopeeeee!
