Not updated for a bit, because theres been nothing to update on, been getting a few bits and bobs done but just cant seem to get any real work done :D.

Anyway, got the fuel system sorted almost, just gotta get a 5/16" union for the pump and thats it, should be painting my head monday and in the week I will see if I can fit it and fit the rockers and finish the engine off.

Hopefully the engine can go in next weekend if I pull my finger out :D

Thought I would post a picture of my little bracket I made for my switch, the most simple bracket I have made but just like how simple it is , even though its going to be hidden....... sorry I'll shut up now :-.

Well after an eventfull week (some loon caused me to smash my daily drive) ive managed to finish the engine for the blue'n. Its took me a couple of weeks to just get the head fitted with the problem of not having enough shims for the rockers and also when I come to fit the head I noticed I needed rocker post spacers.

But the heads finally fitted now along with the rest of the parts and its looking good. Hopefully next weekend I can get it in and running, its going to be tight to make it for himley. During next week im going to rebuild the carb so it will be one less job to do for the weekend, hopefully.

Also since my last update ive brought another exhaust (I like my zausts :shifty:) A 3" fletcher with a maniflow stage 2 LCB should work well I think >_<, I know it will loose me some power but im not doing 30 laps of silverstone so I dont mind that >_<.

Some pictures.

Head fitted.

Big update time.

Engines been in the car since beginning of may, last few weeks ive been gathering together all the little bits and peices ive forgot to get (stuff for the engine bay). Had to go and get an injection top engine steady off a mate today, due to me having an injection frame I needed a longer steady, never had a problem with the 998 and the shorter steady, but this one wasn't having it. One advantage is that ive got loads of clearence around the carb now:D.

Engine should be ready to be fired up tomorrow, just got to sort the electrics out (starter, alternator, coil etc) and fill it up with oil and water and should be good to go.

Need to get it running tomorrow really so I can free the ramp up so I can service my new car .

Anyway heres a engine bay picture (excuse the spark plugs :-).

Looking Good! The fletcher exhaust looks well made, seeing this has swayed me towards getting one, rather than another rc40
keep up the good work
