You can usualy tell the undercover ones because they usualy have more arials.

not any more, they use same systems volvo's started, the copper wire in the windows, allow you to have many areals on one plain of glass so you dont attract attention etc

also alot of the cars arent standard so will have more bhp than book models, which are obviously undesclosed because they dont want you knowing there secrets

I know that the CID cars, and the panda cars (Mostly 1.6 Diesel Focus' - honestly, who are they going to catch with these lol) have a tiny 2nd aerial on the n/s/r of the roof and a small disc, (looks like a hockey puck)

Also with regards to teh cars having more bhp than standard is enerally considered a myth, i know a couple of peoiple that work at HQ in Durham who service, repair and kit out most of the cars and they've all said that the cars are bog-standard with no engine modifications. Even on the T5 owners forum i used to use when i had my 850 T5, alot of people on there rock ex-police cars, and not one of them has ever produced a higher power output when on a dno compared to a standard model

its like the 5th time ive been pulled and ive got a section 59 beacause it makes engine noise and some old man decided to cry about it.

Oh I love giving them :- mwahahahah :)

30mph isent fast around a roundabout at all lol

if its a 50 zone can you go 50 around the roundabout or would they just call it wrekless?

Can be. Depends on the conditions and also where the roundabout is! Ive got a really tight round about near me, and when its icey, you really wouldnt want to do 30mph around that! :)

That's because they are mostly in undercover cars. Who the hell wants money making cameras that see if your doing all that? Big Brother is taking over.... We're all been watched, Run for the hills PEOPLE !

undercover cars?! How do they see out of it?!

Best behaviour from now on then!

Yea, you dont want to be getting another one of them any time soon!!

As Raz says, the speed limit is the maximum permitted speed for the entire road. It is not guaranteed to be safe for all vehicles in all conditions on all sections of that road. If you go around a small roundabout at the speed limit on a 50 limit road you are speeding because your speed is inappropriate for the driving conditions. This:

me and my mate was going round a round about today on way home from college and the car just wouldnt go around it was on full lock and it carried on straight and he wasnt speeding or anything quite scary

Is called understeer and means your speed was inappropriate. Drivers are supposed to assess what speed is correct for what they are doing, not just hare about everywhere as fast as the sign says they can. It's called responsibilty and people failing to do that is why speed limits are being reduced everywhere.

the

just doing their job imo

Makes a change then.

Point being????

police dont do what there meant too,
my dealings with them tell me they are dodgy
i KNOW 2 cops that regualy take drugs
their just as bad as the crooks IMHO

And what have YOU done about it if there just as bad as the crook, taking drugs etc ?

Have you done the job so you know what your on about or an outsider looking in ? I personally think Police do know what there meant to do, however the public dont there lie the confusion...too much TV cops!

so the police just pulled me over then picked holes in everything in my car

they need to get a life

apparently my wheels stick out to much. there 7X13 deep dish wheels and group 5 race arches covering them?

Funny how they pulled you up on your arches because I have 13x7 on Puddles and group 5 arches from Huddersfield spares, the edge of the arch sits parallel with the edge of the wheel, so the wheel is covered (the gap between my wheel and arches is rather small tho 2cm if that so obvious wheel doesnt stick out). Also I thought the wheel had to be sticking out an inch from the arch before it was an issue?? (which in my opinion would look daft anyways)

Never been pulled by the cops yet, only police attention I've had was when i was in Puddles waiting for my friend in a car park and there was a police van sat on the car park, they came over to say how nice my Mini was etc etc. Oh also been glared at because of the tinted windows i have on my other Mini Biff, but never been pulled and as far as i know they are legal,.. would like to see them tell me to take tints off tho,.. as they are limo tinted

That happened to me driving my mum's 306 estate.

Slowed down for the corner, steered into it, went into understeer, corrected that then got oversteer, bit of sideways then I corrected it and it was fine! Then i pulled into my village and stopped to give way for traffic, clutch in, and the car was revving itself to 5k!
I'm guessing the throttle got stuck open or something, I just turned it off then on again, and it was fine!
So yeah, I slowed down for the corner, and the car sped up for it! french piece of....

In my first few months of owning my mini I was pulled 4 times by the 'law'.

1st & 2nd: Looked suspicious, a 19yr old driving 'such an old car'. Checked out and as I was the registered owner afterall, so was fine to carry on my way.
3rd: not wearing a seatbelt..... I have harnesses that I wa wearing!
4th: (This is the best!) My car shouldn't have black and white plates, then realising the F was on the right handside let me go after a few checks.

To be fair, each time the officers were down to earth and apologised for their mistake, so no love lost!

Now back to Worlds Most Wildest Police Chases for the real stuff!

Oooh, I'd have reported him for that. Official records of suspect vehicles is one thing but a private list of bikes he doesn't like but can't find anything wrong with is very wrong.

You think thats bad!

Many years ago, my local 'nick' used to have my cars number plate on the wall in their rest room!

But it wasn't out of malice. Just our 'local' coppers knew us and they had a sense of humour!

Generally it doesn't matter what you drive, if they want to give you a tug they will.

Cars that stand out are obvious targets.

As long as you haven't done anything wrong and all the paperworks upto date, then don't worry!

Its surprising how many 'crooks' have been caught, just by being stopped for no reason.

I'd much rather have a copper stopping traffic, if my car got stolen for example, as a camera will only catch the buggers in action (and probably end up on a Sky program!) and pmore than likely be no use in actually catching the crims.

Where as having an active police presence, might result in more of a chance in someone getting caught 'in the act'.

More coppers on the streets would be a good start!

Oh and by the way, its not unusual for coppers to play Snooker! Ie red car = 1 point, black car = 7 points etc etc. So drive a white car, its a 4 point against foul :(

Fair pont, many moons ago when my now wife was my girlfriend, she was the proud owner of a bright pink clubman covered with black paw prints and she was forever getting stopped by the rozzers and all for no apparent reason. Funny old thing was that it never happened during the day, it was always under the cover of darkness..
