Iv got a bit more done over the weekend.
I put wheels on the back and lowered it on to the floor to find even on the lowest setting iv got 5 1/2" between the top of the wheel and the arch!!! So ill either have to try and find some other coilovers of add some majorly tall turrets.
This shows the massive gap:

Then i finished modifying the clutch pedal and built it back up:

Then i made up a spacer block to go on the engine side of the bulkhead for the clutch cable to pass through:

And the cable connected up to the pedal (looks slightly off line in the picture, but that was just due to the block not being lighned up and welded at this point) :

And welded in place:

Then i got the holes drilled for the linkage and fitted that (only finer tight at the moment) and i can get all gears

Heres a pic of what the floor looked like:

Then after some stonechip (I love the effect stone chip gives, so i thought i would do the whole inside but i will be fitting front carpets.

The deadline is drawing very close now and problems like the rear coilovers doesnt really help!!! But im sure ill get it all done in time.

Iv also cut the panels and welded them into the rear 1/4 window frames, iv fitted the drivers side, but still got to fit the passenger side.

I got a metal tube and welded a 3mm plate to the top and slapped that in. Took about an hour to do.

I havent been able to do much since the last up date, but im still clawing asway at my massive list of things to do.
Iv got most of the brake lines done now.
I had to source a different engine side mount as my frame was built using an early 214 engine mount and no one near me had one in the brakes so was a pig to get hold of. but i managed to find one today so iv got that fitted up now.
Iv also changed the rear wheels bearing and fitted now drums.
I finally found the parcel from minispares that the postman left with the farmer (nowhere near my workshop and i never speak to him...)
So i fitted up the coilover mounts along with the front coilovers:

Then i put the wheels on and let it off the stands to find it the coilovers had nowhere near enough strength in then as the front was about 10mm off the floor so i tried my bigger coilovers and they were spot on and are fully adjustable:

And this is how it sits with them:

Iv also got the exhaust fitted up, (not quite in the pics but it is done now)

Chopped a bit of the front and it means i can get a KA radiator perfectly in the front.

Iv also started on getting the fiberglass doors fitted. The passenger side is done and lining up nice and the lock mechanisms are all working now but i started out by doing the drivers side and as i couldnt find any nuts to fit the original bolts i decided it would be a good idea to weld some studs into the original latch and this was a great idea got it all fitted perfect, but the welding has melted some of the plastic on the latch and this has stopped it working properly so i mad sure i just brought some bolts for the passenger side, so iv got to source another latch for the drivers side now.

Also when looking for some polycarbonate i tried the local auto glass place and they gave me a couple of sheets so i could make some door windows, but they didnt have enough for my rear door so ill have to just buy some for that. So i made up a window for the passenger side.

Iv also started to mount the alternator now, iv still got to work on it a bit but its sold as anything, buy iv just got to work out a small tensioned for the bottom and buy a belt.

Had a few hold ups main one being that i clipped the curb in my green mini my only current daily drive two days ago and bent the steering rack. This was at no more than 5mph pulling out of a car park, how ridiculous is that!!!
So i spend today dropping the subframe down and swapping the rack over and fiberglassing the passanger side wing up where it cracked along the front and down the passanger side wing in the impact.
So ill have to prep and pain that when i get the chance.
But in the mean time i have had a good friend over helping me work out my wiring problem (the immobilizer not talking to the ECU properly)
Where i have a plug for the immobilizer off a rover 400 and an MGF loom it mean that the wire colours were all work and i had connected the signal wire up to the wrong wire on the ECU, so we swapped that round and vola she runs like a dream apart form needing an exhaust manifold gasket.
So im one happy person at the money and am just about to go out and get very drunk to celebrate
Also since my last update i have worked out a throttle cable using a standard mini cable and a bike brake cable (smoother than any mini iv ever been in)
Also as i had the engine running i could test my clutch and thats all working perfect aswell
Iv also made a new front support bar up so i can fit the rad in and iv made up a couple of bottom rad mounts still got to do the top mount though.
And iv got the drivers doors locks working.
I would upload some pics but photobuckes playing silly buggers.
Still cutting it very fine to get it done in time for BH2N run though.
