hopefully get another coat of black on the wheels and thats those done.
done some light sanding on the door, ready for primer ing.
ordered afew more bits and bats, including black hook style wiper arms, new wiper blades, new washer jets etc.
Currently the wipers have black wiper box bezels, chrome arms, black wiper blades and chrome washer jets, so change that to all black to make it uniform and chrome kits are expensive and usually cheap rubbish quality wise.
Minisport were very quick with the parts i ordered, i took the timing chain cover out of the box to modify incase i had a duplex chain fitted and its allready done, so new covers must be modified from new to save people the hassle.
Got all the tools ready so will do that saturday morning.

Came out this morning.....no clutch pedal, puddle under car...
Open bonnet and found brake fluid all down the bulkhead....master cyl
Thought i had a good one but i didnt, so trip to Green n White mini spares, £52 later on a master cyl, and about 30mins struggling to refit the pin!!!, we were fixed.
Since i had taken the time off work, i did the timing chain cover and gasket/seal. So new oil and antifreeze and a good old tweek of all the nuts and fixings for good measure. *ps, it has a duplex chain fitted, unsure on the cam now*
Hopefully it fixed the oil leak i had, only time will tell

opened door this morning to see a puddle under car, FFS!
Slave cylinder dripping now, ofcourse i had laid in so everywhere was shut. Rezorted to a mini guy who used have a shop in sunderland, £45!!! robbing compared to £35 (before TMF discount) on MiniSpares, but what do you do when your stuck like that.
Fitted and bled, hopefully it will be ok now...

Ordered some sound deadening insulation type stuff to do under the carpets. this stuff doesnt absorb water etc, so wont get wet and stay wet unlike the mush stuff fitted from the factory.
Bulkhead area is sound deaded and flash taped by previous owner, but nothing under the carpets and it sounds abit tinny and clunky, and 13mm deep sound proofing should add the luxury feel to the carpet lol

it would appear the previous owner liked fitting things with seam sealer. arches stuck on with it and side repeaters etc.
Strip down stopped due to previous owner rounding a nut on the passenger door, sort that tomorrow.
Found a hole near the o/s fresh air vent, may need to remove A panel to fix it, but have new A panels so not a big deal if needed.
Pics...
Last picture reminds me of the blue mini i had, looks just like it.

Changing to sports pack arches aswell. Just decided.
Due to the lip been cut badly and the holes for the current arches etc, ive decided that sports pack will cover it and they also bolt through the arch higher up so will cover the drilled holes etc.

damn silicone taking ages to get off!!!
OS A panel removed to weld a repair behind, then new A panel fitted.
Found hole in door step on passenger side, so repaired that.
Welded bottom of NS A panel as it was loose.
Ignore the door gap, that door is well fudged, previous owner cut through the skin to repair the hinge which sits proud so the panel gap is huge. Obviously new door going on anyway.
start rubbing down in places with sander, rest of it will be by hand.
Roof had some lines in it, i always put it down to previous owner not flatting back enough, but it goes afew layers deep. Took some advice and decided to high build primer it quite thick and leave overnight, hopefully flat back by hand tomorrow and see if the lines are visible. So theres a coat of primer on the roof.
Couldnt get the rear side windows out easily, so going to cut the rubber, but couldnt find a stanley knife, so thats a job for tomorrow!

trial fitting wheel arches (sportspack) before top coat paint (colour)
Due to unforeseen circumstances, ive had to pull the car out of the spray booth it was in and restore to painting it in a "lean to" type workshop. Unfortunately theres no way around this due to time quickly passing and the car needs to be roadworthy for monday!

Hey Jordie, get a bloomin' move on!!
You don't hang about! It's looking good so far squire. It'll be easy to spot you on the road.....and in the dark with that colour!
I still can't believe that you, drive a Mini everyday!! Who does that nowadays?!
My daily Mini (Green Cooper) started playing up last week! Electrical fault with the charging system. I've had to use my supercharged Mpi in all this rain for the last week! It's been a nightmare to drive in the wet!
