Ordered aload of stuff for when the respray happens and hopefully buy the paint today.
- headlamp bowl gaskets
- door handle gaskets
- boot hinge gaskets
- white seam sealer (tiger seal) to apply in panel joins (white so it doesnt darken the paint when applied over top)
- check strap seals
- reflective stick on front reg plate
- etc
will try and get two wheels shot blasted tomorrow and painted on sunday.

in hindsight, i should have spent more time working on the kerb rash. on the big areas i used chemical metal, worked fantastically. I left the smaller marks, hoping the primer and paint would fill them, but it hasnt, but its nothing major really.
I aint no painter, i can just about get even coverage on a flat panel so obviously a minilite alloy wheel wasnt ideal for me to paint, but heres some photos. Its abit orange peel in places, but hopefully i can polish the rims up for a smoother finish.
On this photo, you can see the edge with its little marks. i will chemical metal any marks on the next rim. This has had another coat of paint since, as the paint didnt get good coverage between the spokes.

Its hard to paint them hanging up due to runs, but if you place them down on a table etc, the paint sticks to the surface.
Might get them powder coated if cheap enough. Anyway, its all experience....paint mixing, spray gun setup etc.

Ive had an oil leak since I bought the car, NS of the engine. So ive ordered the gaskets to go behind the engine plate and the timing cover. Ive ordered a new timing cover as I find most of time they leak due to been bent by over tightening. New seal etc too.
I am doing this at home next weekend i think, if i can get space in the garage.
Going to do the gear linkage seal aswell, just for good measure.
