Got a remote gearbox on the engine with a blue circle around the crank pulley.  What's the numbers on the front of the gearbox.  If it has 333 it's worth ££££, 1128, a few £££s

 

Ok. Big thanks. After attacking with a wire brush....code says 'SM' 1128 '2201128' MOWOG. What do you reckon I should be asking....£250?

It's 22G1128 - a 4 synchro remote gearbox for a mini (not a Morris 1100 which has a different mounting).  The diff housing is matched to the gearbox, so do not split them.  It could have close ratio gears but you will not know until you can see the laygear.  It will be a good buy at £250.  Could get more on ebay but they are a pain to post due to weight and size.  Good news you're in Birmingham - middle of the country!
