thanks for comments.

Passenger seat in the fiat coupe tilts and slides giving great rear access, whereas the drivers side just tilts, which suits me fine as passengers should be getting in the passenger door anyway!

Done some work on the steering column, previous owner stripped bolt so column had movement. stripped down to check for any damage and rebuilt using new bolt. While i was down there found the sound proofing (original) and flashing tape (added by previous owner) soaking wet, i think this is from when the windscreen seal was leaking eariler this year, seems to have held alot of water. Ripped out and dried, ready for some new 'non absorbing' sound proofing.

Also fitted the drivers seat and new seat belts (black). Seats need clean and some leather treatment...

got solid front subframe mounts fitted tonight

turned out the small knock i had was infact the 2 bolts on the floor subframe mount loose. Decided to go ahead and fit solid ones anyway, much better drive now.

Fluids checked and topped up, headlights cleaned so i can see in the dark again lol

Hey Jordie! You don't hang about!! You've done some work on this Mini since the Tynemouth Mini show. That's a vibrant shade of green! :mrcool:

I think you need a new clutch pedal rubber! ;-)

My dad spots your Mini most days parked up in the yard when he's returning another faulty van!

Nothing much to update, fitted new dizzy cap n arm as pre winter maintenance.
Had afew issues with poor wiring, making stuff work then not work, then work again. fixed now.

today fitted an alarm system as I get worried about parking it on an industrial estate for hours while im inside working on my other car. With increasing thefts and car been outside/parked on drive, it had to be done.

Found source of a ignition fault today, previous owner(s) decided to cut and wrap the ignition wires together inside the coloumn cowling. Only found it by untaping all the loom.

New fan belt fitted and radiator semi covered to aid heating up in these colder conditions.

Bonnet won on ebay.....changing back to a standard hinged bonnet and ive also got some bonnet stripes (not quite standard ones) thanks to roofless.

Couple of weeks time by the time i get the bonnet, shot blast it, paint it, bit of mods to fixings on car and fit it.
