found broken wire next to fusebox, replaced majority of it as it was hard/brittle. Working fine again.
Also replaced connector for master cylinder fluid level wiring, one had fallen off somewhere.
Needs a wash, ill get around to that at some point.

new bonnet is here so need to get that painted and can convert back to regular hinges as the lift off bonnet is a nightmare when you only want to check oil or top up screen wash etc.

Didnt have time to investigate due to work, but think its either another electric fault (seem to be working thru them lately due to previous bodges) or maybe coil/dizzy related.
Will sort it when I get home later.

Suspect britpart ignition module failure, so gunna fit a set of points when i get the car into the garage as its pissing it down.

coil and a set of points. tried electronic ignition with the new coil and really poor spark, im assuming the coil and electronic ign module have gone together.

anyway, its fitted, gaz shockers set to about 16 clicks and ride height appears to be same as before, around 22inches from ground to top centre of wheel arch, but its coming lower as it always looked high at the rear.
Gave it a clean too as it hadnt been cleaned in absolutely ages, black neithermind green!






As you can see if pictures, the old underseal is flaking off.....i knew i shud have made time to strip and reunderseal it before the winter, but ho hum its too late now.

Suspension settled a little, now looks even front and back. Will fit front springs and shockers then adjust them all up to lower it abit more.
88c thermostat arrived, will get that in later in week probally.

Car otherwise running fine on points at the moment.
Going to change the bonnet over first before fitting the front springs, as i fear the cone compressor wont fit due to the bonnet pin locations at each corner.

parked up.
shame that on the way down the A1, a stone flew up and took a chunk of paint of my wing and scuttle. doh. indicator surrounds need replacing, rusty

Mirrors need to change to black too, will shop around for something.

Just need to whip box out and check the diff to order the right bits etc (make sure it doesnt have a cross pin diff or something....)
Changing to 3.1 Final Drive Ratio while engine is out.
