Did timing and set idle last night
Also undersealed, fitted grease nipples and greased it up.
Rear brakes adjusted up.
Exhaust brackets adjusted to stop "blow" at Y piece.
Grill refitted and wiring improved.
Bonnet wont seem to click down properly, i may have caught the slam panel when taking engine out, so need to adjust either the panel or bonnet pin to suit.

Mot either later today or tomorrow.
Need to change rear indicator bulbs as flashing white and rear fog light bulb isnt very red, but that will be sorted this morning.

passed mot. couple of advisories....mainly the driveshaft leaking oil on the testers head.

got to change seal n diff side casing at weekend to fix that. casing is the problem, i should have changed it when i had the gearbox on the bench, looks like someones been at it with a chisel to remove the seal in situ.

advised on rear reflectors and a tiny bit of play in a balljoint.

So overall quite happy, need to pickup a seal/gasket for the diff casing tomorrow. allready got a replacement casing to go on.

Driveshaft oil seal done. So thats one advisory fixed lol.

Obviously changed oil, so now its got fresh 20w50 halfords classic. Anti freeze checked again....OK. Retorqued the head and need to adjust tappets next time.

Now can move onto the bonnet and interior bits and bobs.

Nothing happening at minute, can confirm no oil leaks since its been parked up for a while. A mini without a leak? :o

Got a bonnet that needs shot blasting and painting etc, but havent found time to do it yet.

Ordered a interior mirror to do a custom install. its a MGF interior mirror with interior lights built into it. it mounts to the screen, so i just need to get it here n see a bloke from national windscreens about best method to attach it.

Probally fit the new front indicators and rear seat belts tomorrow, subject to having the correct bolts.

I did the MGF mirror mod on my 306 Cabriolet and Accord, make a hell of a difference.

Also, is there another green Mini that parks at the NERC? I always think it's yours.
