Ahh, I only ever see the rear 1/4 poking out of the bushes next to the main doors as I always turn left out of our estate.

Front indicators changed for newer style ones, no chrome to go rusty on these.

Next up was removing the bonnet pins and the triangle parts to change back to std hinges.

Wiper motor took apart as it had stopped working, through lack of use. proper plastic cover fitted aswell now.

Done afew other bits not worth mentioning, so now just need to get the headlight rings, grill and bootlight to the powder coaters. gloss black baby!

Still got NS wing mirror to change, but need to pull car out for that.

Bonnet to be painted, also got black custom bonnet stripes to go on.
Also need to repair the paint around the wing/scuttle bonnet gap where the pins were removed.

Got a MGF rear view mirror here I need to look at and work out best way to fit/wire up.

Yeah its abit green. Cant wait to get the bonnet on and it washed/cleaned and back on the road.

Currently driving a 95 polo, its not the same.....masses of body roll in the corners :/

Sourced a window "slug" to mount the MGF interior mirror.

the part no is EDP5642

ive sourced it from a dealer via a google search for under £4 delivered.

Seam sealed the bonnet lip edges and coated with 1st coat of green.

Interior mirror mounting bonded to windscreen.

Trial fitting of the mirror. had to make modifications to mirror as the angled bracket from MGF made the mirror point upwards.

Providing the mirror bonding as dried / cured fully tomorrow, i will get it fitted and wired in correctly.

bonnet stuck on, needs flatting / polishing (gunna do the whole car)

Chrome lip fitted, riveted on.

Battery charged, key turned, brrrrrmmmmmm noise and out of the hole it came...

Washed to remove mucky finger prints etc.
